Fr. Taylor Sanford began serving as pastor of St. Joseph and St. Stephen on July 1, 2024. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, he discerned a call to the priesthood while running the lakes and studying chemical engineering at LSU. Upon graduating, he entered seminary formation and was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in 2021. He has previously served as chaplain and director of St. Albert Catholic Student Center at SLU in Hammond, chaplain at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, parochial vicar at Immaculate Conception in Denham Springs, and chaplain at St. Michael High School in Baton Rouge.
